A Parking Lot of Vehicle Identification & Accomplishments

One day, maybe a month or so ago, I was out & about, just running (actually driving 😁) some errands & when I finished up a carload of friends commented happening to see me on the road when they were on their way home. I looked at them puzzled at first as I didn't remember being on the main roadway which they mentioned. Everything I was doing was within a three- to five-mile range. Because of this I didn't use a main roadway artery. At least I didn't initially recall doing so, except the small, maybe one-mile stretch where I did, that's where my vehicle & I were spotted. 😎

How did my friends know they were definitely driving behind me, you ask? (Besides the possibility that they'd memorized my not-so-unique, ever-quite-boring license plate? 😏) Well, you see, 😊 I've a few hobbies. And I've learned [read: accepted 😎] that I'm one of those people when parked in a lot.

Yep, I'm one of them. I simply struggle, quite often, to locate my vehicle in among all the other, often very similar looking vehicles, no matter where I might've parked it. Though I'm sure to have parked it in a pull-through (because, after all, they are the absolute, bestest spots available in the entirety of any parking lot 😂). Pull right in, then pull right out once your time in said spot has commenced. No backing - at all- required. 😁😊😉 I simply cannot put enough smiles after such a positive & surely thought. 😂

Obviously the next best option would be a quick & easy backing in of my vehicle. And the absolute worst would be those parking lots where there are up & down rows & the parking spots are painted at an angle. Nobody wants to be a part of that lot. 😎😡 There's no other way than to 'pull in' & 'back out' when you're finished. And those spots are usually really narrow too. 😝

So when I'm trying to find my vehicle, I at least know I'm best to check for any vehicles which are poking out facing forward. For this reason I've hanging from my rear view mirror a quick crocheted chain-wrap which I'd originally used as a luggage identifier each time I've left the country in order to quickly save me time at the airport luggage collection. This has been great, yet having "back-end support" as well turned out to be pretty important too. So I went for it. I went ahead & got myself one of these.

I wasn't sure how I was going to manage since I've run multiple distances & I wished not to simply give credit to my longest timed distance (an obvious secondary option). Then this particular one caught my eye. It was the best that I could do. I was initially bummed as I've actually run six timed distances, not just the four that are noted here. This frustration has subsided however as most people who make a talking point of my hatchback magnet point to it, which is when I explain that I got it because of what I've discussed in these last few paragraphs - in order to help me locate my vehicle in  a vast parking lot - then I end up mentioning how I'm bummed that the magnet only notes four of the six distances which I've run. In each case I've been asked which distances are missing (& we all exclaim together "obviously" 😊😂). Problem solved. 😁 They care to learn anyway. 😍 (Can't you just feel that tight squeeze?! 😂) -- And those two distances are....drum roll please...10 miles & 15K... (Or, as the magnet would note them, "10.0" & "15k". 😁)

So here I am with one magnet slapped across the rear end of my tiny little hatchback of a compact vehicle (one of which a second magnet couldn't possibly have fit anyway - another reason for my settling for just this magnet to cover a few of my accomplishments 😀). And some simple oversized chain crocheted yarn dangling in a wrap-around from my rearview mirror.

And it's from these unique identifiers that my friends were able to "exactly" spot me when they happened to be waiting right behind me at a traffic light on that main roadway artery - even though my tiny little hatchback vehicle was just about the same as any one-in-a-million vehicle on any main roadway artery that busy Saturday afternoon maybe a month or so ago. 😊😂😍

*****

I do long to get myself a personalized license plate, one that anyone could possibly easily note as definitely being mine, although not for that reason would I be getting it. Rather, I've not necessarily preferred the plate I've had. In my opinion it's been too many years that I've had it. And I've really not decided on a most ideal, specific, otherwise identifying plate for myself.

In addendum I'll note that the text links which I've inserted in these paragraphs are to the actual magnet which I do have; I've elected to use as the link for this post's image one which I hadn't noticed as available at my time of purchase, though I think it'd be my preference if I were to make said purchase now. 💲😊💲 I prefer the magnet in the image link now for the ✔of official accomplishment, marking it off "the list". 😊
