Feeling Like I'm Not Feeling Too Well

For the past week I've not felt my best. As I am a fairly healthy eater, I thought, for sure that it would blow over; all the not-feeling-so-well feelings I began having, they'd cease to be. I got plenty of sleep, drank my fluids (both hot tea & lots of water), & kept up at my typical fitness, even when I felt a bit drained; I pushed as best I could.

Today, I couldn't deny it any longer. My nose had me sneezing & therefore keeping the tissue right next to me almost all the time. I was chilly & I had chills running through me; I felt it seemingly impossible to feel cozy & I'd dressed fairly reasonably for the weather outside. Worn out & with a big, long day ahead tomorrow, heading to the nearest allergy, cold, & flu aisle became a part of my late day plans.

Reading the containers made me feel better about my health; I really wasn't that far off feeling fine. I had no headache, no congestion, no cough, no sore throat. I've not taken my temperature, yet with cold hands against fairly warmed cheeks, the likelihood seems quite plausible. I know it's all connected so I felt that maybe something might just be the right thing for me. I got a little smarter & went to the pharmacy window.

Instantly recommended upon hearing my symptoms (none of which were listed on the box I'd picked up, pondered, & taken with me to the window) were the allergy box options accompanied by acetaminophen, which could assist with knocking off the fever I'm likely to have before it really turns into too much. The other product mentioned is Emergen-C, & is something someone else encouraged me to use when I mentioned my chills earlier in the day. I shrugged it off when they said something because I felt that my chills, etc. were too far for the power of the product. At the pharmacy window I was reminded it's preventative & it also helps when you've begun to not feel your best.

I suppose I've a level of frustration as I have had plenty of just. the. right. liquids. in addition to literally drinking my own homemade chicken broth. Did I mention the plenty of sleep part? The hours for sleeping might have been a bit disjointed; they were all there none-the-less, plus a few more.

I made my purchases & made my way out the store's door. A fresh shower to wipe away the bad germs, some more liquid to ingest my first dose of medicine, warm & cozy jammies & the heat turned up a bit, just for the extra "hug" of warmth. It'll be a long day tomorrow, not feeling well, or reasonable health. Here's to beginning it on the right foot. I'll make sure to have a dose of medicine nearby.
