An Essential Garden

Our neighbors had one of these in their yard, though I never thought much of it - mostly because it seemed to always have bird poop on it; the dark purple variety, not the white kind. Therefore it always seemed dirty & sort of, not what it was meant to do either, as whenever water was added to it, it would be gone sooner than not with the sun beating done directly on it. It seemed to be more of a large piece of plastic than anything else. And unlike a treadmill that's gone unused, no clothing can be hung from it doubling it up as a clothesline 😂.

I'm into standard & simple, so the original design suits me just fine. Though this one, in a peppercorn shade, could easily mix it up just a bit. This one, with two tiers, has a certain elegance, & yet still appears to be quite simple in its overall design.

Each seems that it belongs among a large arrangement of perennials with cobblestone paths shooting off in various directions; I'm envisioning a movie scene now. Maybe a fountain off to the side as well. A bench along the way too, for a quick break from gallivanting down the cobblestone pathway. And the bench would have a donation placard centered on its headboard 😊😂. A lamp post would be nearby to add that touch of elegance & provide direction for whomever might find themselves on the bench.

And, just think, all of this simply because I found myself thinking about these 😏.
