Do not judge. Even those of us who purge & donate, & purge & donate some more still find themselves, with minimal wardrobe & in need of these clothing condensing structures.
I first happened upon these hangers by complete accident. I don't think I even knew I had some in my possession. I believe it was at a flea market, where I ended up with a large box including some miscellaneous at the bottom; a few of these hangers were among the miscellaneous in the bottom of that box.
I've only ever used the variety where there are five openings, though some of the ones I've come across have had holes rather than slots as these do (Amazon link as well as the image link in the top left). I used to prefer the holes, finding them sturdier & more reliable, yet using this variety, with the slots has the efficiency of sliding a garment & hanger in & out of its slot versus pulling up & out, as with a hole, & potentially messing up the entire hanger whereas all of the clothing could fall off or out of place.
This variety, being metal, means that, unlike with the plastic options, where the plastic can bend & pull & lose its shape & ultimately break under the weight. The metal hangers have added strength; a sturdy frame. And this sturdy frame is just what is necessary to properly manage certain wardrobes. đ
