Plastic Hangers from the Department Store

Somehow, all throughout college, & even into the following years, these hangers suited my hanging needs. In the decade or so which followed I began noticing certain crimps & indentations in many of my tops & could tell it was a direct impact from the hangers. Basically, I found myself trying to shift the edges of the shoulders of many of my tops in order to avoid or alter these crimps. Otherwise they'd be noticeable while I'd be wearing them. Definitely not classy; rather tacky.

It was about this same time when I began shopping at a department store where customers had the option of keeping the hangers that came with their clothing. Bingo! I kept all of mine. The clothes were hung on hangers that rounded over the edge, like these, or, the more sleek & unbreakable version: these; there was a smooth transition & therefore the clothes were left looking good with no crimps or indentations. Of course these hangers should work; only the department store looking to sell the garments used them on their sales floor! 😂

They were good enough for me & still are. The bottom, or underneath portion of the hanger includes a notch where a skirt/pant hanger can adjoin. This helps keep outfits together; another added bonus. These hangers also fit nicely with the magic hangers. In fact, because the metal hooks are so thin, even though the added weight isn't advisable, it's completely possible to double up on a rung, or multiple rungs with these hangers.
