Born in May, one thing I know I've given Mom as a gift this time of the year, is a birthstone necklace (Amazon link as well as the image link to the left). May's birthstone is emerald, & although it's not her favorite color, yellow, it's a better shade of green than the August birthstone, peridot, in my humble opinion đ.It's also a convenient gifting option for Mom because it's a good "accompaniment" gift where I could easily select a little something to go alongside this necklace such as an elegant top, maybe a jacket, perhaps a pair of earrings.
Certain necklaces don't work as well for Mom; she prefers chains that aren't as thin & she doesn't do too well with bracelets (neither do I đ). She's not had her ears pierced, so any earrings have always needed to be the "clip on" kind.
Similar gifts I've found for her have been items relating to being born in the month of May. Such as a fabric bag which had a verse about being a May baby & an image of an emerald on it.
