The warm breezes outside suggest another staple of the season. Appropriate at all times of the year, though definitely now, flags, or banners can be the answer to dressing up any yard or small nook. A general one simply welcoming everyone, or ones that pertain to a particular theme, such as a holiday or hobby. They can easily suit any ordinary personality, making any owner feel that much more special.When Mom & Dad updated their house & added, well, an addition onto their property decades ago, Mom included a spot on the side of the house where such a banner could be hung with ease while still being completely visible. Along with her many "seasons of the year" that she decorates with indoors, Mom has a litany of banners with which to dress the side of her house.
I've never gravitated toward banners as a means to decorating. At one house, I elected to display an American flag & I properly affixed the metal holster to the house's brick as instructed. When I moved from that house, I left the flag in the front closet for the next owner's use. That was me, staying simple; 'tis my style.
