Only the one I had happened to end up with a big mark on it.
Being the crafty gal that I am, even back then đ , & definitely one who thoroughly enjoys all things personalized, I realized I could still make use of this ball cap &, well, craft right over top of the big mark.
Between my personal crafting stash & the family household one, I was set.
I
gathered a few of these:
& a one of these:
& I set to town stitching pastels (I happen to enjoy the pastel color scheme the most) all around the side edge of the ball capâŠ& I stitched my name into it â front & center.
A fair skinned gal, back in the day on the cross-country team, wearing such a ball cap while pumping out the miles put a dent in the sunshine burning away my nearly radish white skin. I enjoyed designing my âmasterpieceâ & stitching it all up. Many of my teammates found it unique & clever.
My mileage remained the same as well as did my place in the team lineup. I wasn't expecting anything amazing like that, & it truly would have been coincidental had it happened, although I did enjoy the results of my happenchance in creativity; I'd not set out to remake my ball cap in such a way that I could "clean it up" & wear it "in public" among my peers again now that the unruly marking wasn't so unsightly.
