Some Ideas as Valentine's Day Approaches

With just about a week to go until Valentine's Day, it seemed most appropriate to write about Valentine's gifts. The following are a few items to say, "You remembered!".

Flowers. One red rose, or a dozen red roses. Or another variety of flowers. A bouquet. Flowers are a popular item & many a lady swoons when she receives them.

Teddy bears. It often seems that cuddly stuffed animal teddy bears tend to accompany Valentine's Day along with flowers, chocolates, candy, & more. Teddy bears are available in various shapes & sizes, making finding one that's appropriate for your special someone simple.

Chocolate. A general box of chocolates where, like Forrest Gump says, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." If they most enjoy nibbling on a Nestle Crunch Bar, then a family size bar all for them, or a bag of miniatures could be most appropriate. If they enjoy dark chocolate, any of the many options of dark chocolate bars could be best. Then again, who said a chocolate bar is the best way to gift chocolate. A chocoholic cake, a tray of brownies, if they like peanut butter with their chocolate, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, or Kit Kat bars - where they might just break off a piece & share. 😍 The options are endless.

Candies. Another sweet treat idea would be candy hearts, or any other version of some sweets that isn't chocolate. It could be a good accompaniment to their chocolate, & could work well for those who might be allergic to chocolate 🙁, or simply not enjoy eating chocolate 😩.

New clothes. Sometimes they enjoy shopping with you. Sometimes you have the better "eye". Treat them to a store "walk through" & find an entire new outfit all the way through accessories & shoes.

Hearts. Paper hearts, rose petals, handmade suggestions. Pull out your inner child & put something together that's crafty, unique, & (no pun intended!) heart-felt.

Dinner for two (already taken care of at home, or dinner out). Are you great with a stirring spoon or handle a knife well when it comes to dicing? Cooking up a special meal at home could be just the right treat. Then again, sometimes a restaurant's ambience fits best.

Wine. Whichever variety goes best with dinner. Or, if they prefer, say, sweet wine, then perhaps, specifically select a nice fruity option. Many fruit wines have a pink, or otherwise soft color.

Movies. "Today" Netflix at home could be just as amazing, if not more so than seeing a flick on the big screen. Some DVD/Netflix options could be: Love Actually, Love Story, Hope Floats, Pretty Woman, Sleepless in Seattle, The Notebook, While You Were Sleeping, & Return to Me.
